NOW MORE THAN EVER, CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES NEED SUPPORT
We’re proud to partner with Enable Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities in local communities across Ireland. Covid-19 has had a huge impact on the children and families who rely on Enable Ireland – so now more than ever, they need support.
At least €2 from each notebook sold in-store will be donated and the funds raised will be donated to Enable Ireland and support specific projects including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychological support, social work, speech and language therapy, transport services, specialist equipment, assistive technology and so much more.
You can read more from people who have benefitted from the services Enable Ireland provide below.
Naomi has attended Enable Ireland in Kildare since she was a toddler. Her fantastic physiotherapists and occupational therapists continue to support Naomi in reaching her goals – and then some. She lives with her family on their farm and is a member of her local stage school, where she loves to sing, dance and get involved with all things drama.
William has attended Enable Ireland in Kildare since he was three months old and has benefitted from occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy. He is very determined and with the support from his Enable Ireland therapists, he has conquered every challenge presented to him. William attends school with his twin sister, his favourite subject is maths and he loves going to Lego club. He also loves sports, especially swimming and cycling, and recently won the Enable Ireland Kildare Triathlon event.
Zach is an incredibly active and boisterous football-mad boy. His favourite team is Chelsea and he loves dinosaurs, superheroes and reading books. Zach uses a wheelchair to get around and attends Enable Ireland’s Children’s services in the Marino Centre in Bray, Co. Wicklow where he received Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. He especially loves going in the new hydrotherapy pool in the Enable Ireland centre. Physiotherapy in the warm temperature and water allows for great movement and independence, and its great fun too.
