Our aim is to help vulnerable children and young people achieve their full potential in our local communities focusing on those facing challenges with health, education and poverty. We do this by partnering with local and national charities.
The TKMaxx and Homesense Foundation supports BeLonG To, Diversity Role Models and the Diana Award.
BeLonG To Youth Services is a national organisation in Ireland supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex young people. Since 2003, they have worked with young people, between 14 and 23 years, to create a world where they are equal, safe, and valued in the diversity of their identities and experiences.
Diversity Role Models’ mission is to create an education system in the UK which every young person will know they are valued and supported, whoever they are. Their student workshops feature LGBTQ+ or ally role models who speak openly about their lived experiences, building young people's empathy so they can understand the, often unintended, impact of their language and actions.
The Diana Award’s mission is to foster, develop and inspire positive change in the lives of young people in the UK. Through their anti-bullying and mentoring work they aim to create a change in attitudes and behaviours, as well as guiding change for some of the UK’s most vulnerable young people. Their Award programme recognises the young people driving selfless change across the world. The Diana Award’s Anti - HBT (homophobic, biphobic, transphobic) Programme provides young people in school with the skills, tools, confidence and knowledge they need to significantly transform their school culture and provide support to their peers.
Homesense is a part of the TK Maxx family who have been supporting Enable Ireland since 1997. Together we’ve raised over €3.6 million to support over 20,000 children and young people with disabilities in local communities across Ireland.
Enable Ireland’s services for children and their families cover all aspects of a child’s physical, educational and social development. This starts from early infancy through adolescence, providing a range of services including assessment, therapy and support services to children with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities.
Enable Ireland Registered Charity No. 20006617
In 2018, our foundation granted over 450 applications to support local charities across Ireland and the UK that are important to our associates, and support our mission of helping vulnerable children and young people achieve their potential.
Grants have helped children with moderate and severe learning difficulties, children and families who are affected by terminal illness or death of a loved one and more.
The T.K.Maxx and Homesense Foundation is a partner of The British Red Cross’ Disaster Relief Alliance. The fund helps with investigation into ground-breaking global emergency response strategies and has supported emergencies such as the Indonesia Earthquake and Tsunami appeal.
Some of the emergencies we’ve also supported include the London Fire Relief Fund following events at Grenfell Tower, Hurricane Irma Appeal and the UK Solidarity Fund in response to UK terror attacks.
