Our aim is to help vulnerable children and young people achieve their full potential in our local communities focusing on those facing challenges with health, education and poverty. We do this by partnering with local and national charities.
Homesense is a part of the TK Maxx family who have been supporting Enable Ireland since 1997, raising over 3.2 million to support over 17,000 children and young people with disabilities and their families in local communities across Ireland.
Enable Ireland’s services for children and their families cover all aspects of a child’s physical, educational and social development from early infancy through adolescence, whilst providing a range of services including assessment, therapy and support services to children with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities.
Our ‘Hang a Bauble’ campaign takes place throughout the festive period each year where we invite our customers to donate £1 to Enable Ireland, to receive a paper bauble to hang on our in store tree.
In 2018, our foundation granted over 450 applications to support local charities across Ireland and the UK that are important to our associates, and support our mission of helping vulnerable children and young people achieve their potential.
Grants have helped children with moderate and severe learning difficulties, children and families who are affected by terminal illness or death of a loved one and more.
The T.K.Maxx and Homesense Foundation is a partner of The British Red Cross’ Disaster Relief Alliance. The fund helps with investigation into ground-breaking global emergency response strategies and has supported emergencies such as the Indonesia Earthquake and Tsunami appeal.
Some of the emergencies we’ve also supported include the London Fire Relief Fund following events at Grenfell Tower, Hurricane Irma Appeal and the UK Solidarity Fund in response to UK terror attacks.
